IMPORTANT FOR OUR LOYAL MEMBERS/ATTENDEES: Your humble meeting planner has again had to re-shuffle the deck for our programs. PLEASE NOTE: We have pushed our usual meeting date BACK A WEEK after receiving no communication from our scheduled meeting sponsor, for 18 days. We are under contract obligation with our meeting location to produce/pay for, our regularly scheduled dates. We CANNOT do so without outside financial support. Our meeting location has been extremely generous with us in allowing us to move our date.
Future SDOMA Meetings: On August 9, Franklin Kozin, M.D., Head, RSDS Center, Department of Rheumatology, Scripps Cilnic, will be speaking on the topic of "Fibromyalgia" A meeting on Melanoma is being planned for September. Larry Emdur, D.O. will be presenting An Update on COPD on October 11. An Oriental and Alternative Medicine presentation is being explored for later in the year. We still need one more "DO" speaker for the year, to meet our quota.
Dues notice enclosed, if we have not heard from you (MAIL ONLY): If you are a new SDOMA member (no previous meeting attendance) your ½ year dues are ½ of the yearly listed amount. Please fill out the enclosed membership application and send to the address on the form. Then join us for camaraderie, and inexpensive category 1 AOA CME. Our usual monthly dinner meeting date/time is 6:30 PM on the second Thursday of the month at the Double Tree Hotel, 7450 Hazard Center Drive. It is free to attend our monthly meetings.
