(CME) Lifestyle, Environment and Genes: An Epigenetic Model"

Nominations for 2009 SDOMA board members needed ASAP: It's that time of year again. Nominations need to be received ASAP, so that we can meet the obligations of our by-laws and our new officers can begin their terms of office at the January 2009 meeting. According to our by-laws the following offices are up for election; Secretary (one-year term), Treasurer (one-year term) and Vice-President (one year as Vice-President, one year as President, and one year as immediate past president for a total of three years). Looking for DOs to speak to students at Patrick Henry High School seeking careers in health care: Patrick Henry High School is seeking physicians to speak to their seniors regarding careers in health care. This would be Wednesday morning at either 8:30 or 10:30. The presentation can range from 20-50 minutes at your discretion. For additional information please contact Jim Cox at 619-579-2946.
2009 membership applications, ballots for election of officers, and 2008 yearly CME statements: 2009 membership applications and ballots for election of officers (if you are a current SDOMA member) will be sent with the December 2008 newsletter. There will be a deadline for returning your ballots. Your 2008 meeting attendance (CME) information will be sent with the January 2009 newsletter. If you receive your newsletter by email this information will be mailed to your address of record with SDOMA.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING OUR MEETING LOCATION: Orcutt Administration Building is located at 4511 Orcutt Avenue, San Diego, 92120. (Mapquest gives incorrect directions.) Orcutt Avenue is a small street off of Mission Gorge that literally goes behind the hospital. We are a gray building with green windows that is located between the hospital parking structure and a Grab 'n Go Sub which is located on the corner of Mission Gorge and Orcutt Avenue. If street or parking structure parking is unavailable, the place to park is in the Bank of America parking lot that is across the street. It is part of the Vons shopping center. The only KP signage for the building is on the glass entry doors. When you walk in you will see a circular conference room in front of you. To the left is Classroom B and when you walk around the conference room, go down the hall past the bathrooms, Classroom C is on your right.
