IMPORTANT FOR OUR MEMBERS: In order to accommodate the schedule of our speaker for October, SDOMA will be meeting on October 18 (THE THIRD THURSDAY). Be sure to monitor our monthly newsletter for any schedule changes.
Nominations for 2008 SDOMA board members needed ASAP: It's that time of year again. Nominations need to be received ASAP, so that we can meet the obligations of our by-laws and our new officers can begin their terms of office at the January 2008 meeting. According to our by-laws the following offices are up for election; Secretary (one-year term), Treasurer (one-year term) and Vice-President (one year as Vice-President, one year as President, and one year as immediate past president for a total of three years). To volunteer or place names in nomination contact Jim Cox at 619-579-2946.
Future SDOMA Meetings: Larry Emdur, D.O. will be presenting An Update on COPD in October. Meetings on Oriental and Alternative Medicine, Diabetes (inhaled insulin) and pain management are currently being explored for the future. We still need one more "DO" speaker for the year, to meet our yearly quota.
